

Brown, is here to stay
Is brown the new black? Yes, and it is here to stay! Generally, trends last about 3 years, but I think you can be rest assured that brown isn’t going anywhere. Brown is such a great color, it’s warmth and depth are so much more appealing that the harsh nature of black. Brown looks amazing with every color you can think of - white, blue, green, purple and the list goes on. This is probably due to brown’s natural, grounding essence. Often we are drawn to colors that look good on our own skin and just about everyone looks good in brown.
From the perspective of an Interior Designer, it is a great color to start or end with. You can take a very colorful room and calm it with some splashes of brown. Now, I’m not talking about a paper bag color of brown I’m speaking of an intense, yummy chocolate brown. For a fresh, clean look, take a space that is all white, and compliment it with a deep brown, making a bold statement without compromising the purity of your white. For trim and ceilings brown is a fantastic color to use.
